About Parras de la Fuente
Spanish settlers founded Parras in 1598 around the springs of an oasis in the desert, and vines were planted almost immediately. Casa Madero, founded in 1597 as the Hacienda de San Lorenzo, is considered the oldest winery in the Americas. Parras is a Pueblo Mágico and a favorite weekend escape from Saltillo and Monterrey.
